The effect of using caffeine and vitamin C together

Vitamin C and caffeine are the perfect combination of natural ingredients to help prep skin for the morning; reducing puffiness that can appear when you wake up and brightening and refreshing the skin for the day ahead. Both can be found in BYBI’s C-Caf day cream which is a light and hydrating moisturiser.

When used topically, caffeine can help to improve circulation and increase blood flow under the skin, which can lead to a decrease in puffiness around the eyes and cheeks, less swelling and potentially allow the skin to appear more sculpted, as well as generally brighter and alert. It can also be a powerful antioxidant that helps to repair and protect damaged skin, preparing for environmental stressors that may crop up throughout the day. C-Caf contains matcha green tea which is a very high source of caffeine!

Vitamin C is a tried and tested skincare ingredient that has punchy results. It too is an antioxidant, so when combined with caffeine the repairing  properties are heightened, making it an excellent combination for maturing skin and targeting uneven texture, fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin C also helps improve skin tone overall and is often used to address hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and dulling complexions. We used a dual-complex vitamin C formula in C-Caf from both ascorbic acid and kakadu plum. Kakadu plum is the world’s richest natural source of vitamin C and also has properties that can help to reduce redness, leaving your skin feeling even, bright and fresh.

Overall, the combination of vitamin C and caffeine is an essential addition to any skin type’s morning routine and is a gentle yet effective way to bright and glowing skin! Think of it like your morning coffee and OJ - it helps your skin to perk up, feeling refreshed and healthy!
