My main use for coconut oil is to take my makeup off - I heat it slightly with my hairdryer so it melts, put some on a cotton pad and wipe my makeup gently off until the pads are showing no more product. I then take the coconut oil off using a hot cloth. It has made a real difference to my sensitive, acne prone skin (hormonal acne) and smells lovely.
I also use it to oil pull, again melting it with my hairdryer and putting a table spoon full into my mouth in the morning first thing before breakfast and swishing it round my mouth for ten minutes. It is great for oral hygiene and has the added bonus of keeping your teeth clean and white.
I also use it to cook - it's great to fry things in and has a high smoking point! A spoonful a day is really good for your internal health and your skin and hair.
Here are some other uses in case you are interested -
Conditioning hair mask (use sparingly)
Scars and stretch marks
It's basically just a really good, naturally antibacterial moisturiser that you can also eat. Awesome.
