I had never tried a blending sponge before but had wanted too so was happy to try this when I got it. Have to say I was quite underwhelmed and after using it a couple of times I won't be using it again. It's not a bad product and it gave an ok finish to my make up, I'm sure it'll suit some people, but for me, my regular brush gives a much better finish than this.2
Compared to my current blending sponge, this one is very stiff and not very pleasant to work with. Wish I liked it more than I did.2
This product itself, is what made me sign up with birchbox, but I was so frustrated as I found the sponge to be far to stiff, even after water was used, it just doesn't have a huge lot of flexibility in ths sponge, therefore making it seem as if your smearing and taking away the make up rather than making it flawless, I looked patched after using this, which I don't with the beauty blender/realtechniques.
Not happy :(
I do like the finish this product gives, but it absorbs a lot of product during application, so watch out for how much product you'll be going through - especially if you're using a premium brand foundation!3
I bought one of these because people kept telling me that they were great but I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. It's good but it's a normal sponge3
This is quite a hard sponge, ok for a base layer of foundation but wouldnt use it as my top layer one3
having received a BB blender i was expecting this to be okay. and it was just that, ok but not a bb. felt heavy, soaked up water and product. this is gorgeous and felt nice but I'm struggling to find much of a use for it and I'm a beautholic3
I loved the packaging of this and really wanted to love the product but I've found it to be a lot more dense than a lot of sponges I've tried so the application isn't as good as I'm used to. I've only tried it on liquid foundations, not cream or mineral as the description says so it could be better with those.3
much firmer thab real techniques sponges although i would say still not as good as a beauty blender. It certainly gave me an even finish and make up always does look better when applied with a sponge. So if you don't want to spend on a beauty blender would recommend over real techniques3
I really liked this sponge; the coverage was great and it really got the job done. However, after using it about ten times it got mouldy and I can now no longer use it. I'm really disappointed that this happened.3
